Do my friends need to install the app?
No. Guests just open your link in any browser, type their name, and claim items. The app is only for you, the person scanning and sharing.
How does Settlr read the receipt?
It uses AI to extract each item and price from your photo. In regions with stricter data rules it scans entirely on-device, and you can always add items manually.
How do people actually pay me?
However you already do. You add your handles — Venmo, Cash App, mobile money, bank — and guests see them on the claim page. Settlr never touches the money or takes a cut.
